A Little Country, A Little Rock'n'Roll

We think there's something fun and almost magical about penthouses that look more like little houses that happen to be perched atop a large building. Such is the case with 93 Underhill. We're curious to know more about this building (rental? condo?), which is also notable for its entry courtyard which is set behind the facade of an old brick building which someone thought was worth preserving. Kinda fun.

It's a rental property owned by Ocean Empire Management. One of my best friends has lived there for six or seven years now, and I wanted to move there a few months ago, but no apartments had become available by the time I had to be out of my old place. I ended up renting another place only a couple of blocks away, and I love seeing how the top of 93 Underhill looks different from different angles around the neighborhood. I've never been in any of the penthouse apartments, but to my understanding they're two-story units.

It's a nice building -- all the apartments are pretty roomy, have high ceilings and lofts, hardwood floors and ceilings, and huge square wood columns. I think it used to be some sort of warehouse back in the day.
