House of the Day: 28 Willow Street

house
Willow Street is one of our favorites in all of Brooklyn so maybe we're not being as critical as we should be, but $2.6 million doesn't seem like a crazy amount to pay for this well-appointed, albeit a bit narrow (at 18 feet), townhouse. Even if you give the house no credit for the basement level, it is still priced at about $720 a foot, cheap by Brooklyn Heights standards, no? Plus, the duplex-over-triplex configuration also creates the potential for meaningful income. Has anyone been inside?

I know this house very well. I had listed it about 5 years ago for a heck of a lot less than what the market is commanding today!! It is owned by a well known "writer" who has won a Tony and other prestigious awards. There are a lot of stairs! The lower unit feels bigger than the upper unit. Nice roof deck! Just check and double check what the situation is with the tenant of the ower unit before you purchase...it is a nice house!!!

Only issue I see, which can be rectified, is no bathroom on parlor ...
