Filling In The Blanks in Park Slope
Who knows what's going on at the Southeast corner of 5th Avenue and 13th Street? GMAP

There's a spray-painted message of a circle-slash sign over "baby gap" on the side of it. Not sure if the malcontent has insider info, but it would be out of place (for now).

At one point it there were rumours of a GAP going there, but i believe it is going to be condos.

It was a Goodwill that went south, closed 6-8 months ago...supposedly a 7 story condo project.
Not sure if there will be a commercial overlay, thought to reap the benefits of R7A, they have to have a commercial overlay.
Just what we need, more luxury condos ;)

Better than the proposed 8 to 11 story on the North/East corner of 15th and 5th where the 99 cent store is.
Supposedly another Isac Kattan project just up from his 11 story monster you can already see all over the skyline in South Slope/Greenwood Hts.
Shitbox in the sky.

It is a 7 story residential building, presumably with commerical on the the first floor. It used to have a decent-looking Manhattan architect, Jeffrey McKean, associated with it, although his name was not on the most recent set of plans.
Lost in Brooklyn -- Can you give more info on building at 15th and 5th....the northeast corner is where the Karate studio is, with the fruit and veggies stores below it, no? Where is the 99 cent store you are referring to? Any more info is appreciated, as I live right there.
Thanks

re - the bldg on 7th & 2nd, it's owned by an eccentric woman and her daughter, who used to run an equally eccentric bar on the ground floor - it would open only when they felt like it, and percussion instruments would be passed out to the clientele. They evidently don't want to fix it up and are unmotivated by profit, so the building will continue its slow deterioration indefinitely.

7x2nd: The Landmark pub, of course. Was the place to be about 12 years ago.

There is a 99 cent store at 16th and 5th, but not at 15th and 5th.

I am one of the developers of the site. Just to clear up a couple of misconceptions: the building will be a 7-story mixed-use condominium with commercial space at grade and residential units above built as of right; their is no buyer/tenant for the ground floor yet. We can not market the units until AG approval. Jeffrey McKean is the architect. We are planning a building with a green roof and sustainable materials per our green-building program. Stay tuned for our web-site for more information.

Aida:
Sounds great!
1. If you need green roof plants, see www.motherplants.net.
2. Do you have a retail tenant yet?
3. What is your website?
Thanks
