Gehry is a predictable monster. FUGLY! FUGLY! FUGLY! Ratner should get a new architect for the AY project. Bibao and his other works clearly show that Gehry is a one hit wonder! The style can work with a museum but fails when imposed upon commercial and residential developments.

Hey BB, I actually have a sneaking liking for that building- if it were a piece of sculpture. A lot smaller, maybe in a park or plaza. As a building? no. I'm totally with you about getting a different architect. Someone needs to take that crumpled paper away from Gehry.

in context, the building is actually quite lovely. he's done a decent job putting someting incredibly modern next to a charming old manor house. i never would have thougth i'd like it (having spent several years frolicking in that old manor house), but it works when you see it in person.
