Mother Nature Gets the Best of Carriage House

house
Remember the torrential rain we had two weekends ago? We heard that they were too much for this old carriage house at 365 Waverly. The roof, along with parts of the facade, caved in, leaving the elderly woman who lives there temporarily without a home.

Is there any kind of emergency program that she is eligible for? That is a landmarked block, is it not? It looks like it's between Lafayette and Greene, if I'm not mistaken.

She must have had severe water damage for some time for that to have happened. I hope the community lends a helping hand. If I can find out any loan or grant info, I'll post.
