this is a great idea. I like the "craigs picks" thing. the Clinton Hill place seems nice and reasonably price. I'm assuming the rooms are on the small side or the pricing is due to the G train. regarding the stuy heights posting, do they mean lewis ave? I don't know what the hell louis ave is... if this is by owner I'd hope the person knows where the live.

There is a Louis Avenue off of Atlantic Avenue towards Eastern Pkwy., but this would be considered Ocean Hill/Brownsville...I think.

then that doesn't make sense there's no way that someone could mistake brownsville for stuyvesant heights thats totally pushing it on their part. so either this person his lying about it being stuyvesant heights or they've probably just got the name wrong.

its got to be lewis ave because the posting says its 3 blocks from the utica ave stop and decatur and lewis would be 3 blocks away...

Great idea for a regular feature, Mr.B. Not everyone is in the position to buy, and for many people who want to try out a neighborhood before buying, or while looking, this may be the ideal situation. All of the apartments have some good features and the prices are fair.

$900 for a 350-ft studio on Franklin Ave. seems like highway theft.

Is it legal for you to take other people's photos and put it up on your website without their permission? Or did you get permission from the photographer and the owner of this property already?
Posted by: Anonymous at May 8, 2006 8:09 PM
Linking to other websites (pictures and all) is 100% legal.
It's how the internet works.

Huh? Non-copy-written material. Fair comment. In the public domain. Clearly marked where it comes from. If you don't want people to look at a photo don't post it on the world wide web!
I agree this rental coverage is a great idea. The ongoing discussion of whether 1.2 or 1.3 is the fair price for a badly renovated house in PLG or BS can be a bit boring and rather esoteric for most people. Gives another take of the whole gentrifying movement.

I looked at the CH apartment back in January. I would not call it a two bedroom - let's just say it has a unique layout that does not work - I'd call it a studio. Nice view though.
