Sorry, I don't know anything about the John Curtin building.
However, I wanted to thank Brownstoner for highlighting the "Flashback: Arson in DUMBO" article. I live in Vinegar Hill/DUMBO, and it's common knowledge around here that Josh Guttman is an arsonist (the firemen think so too....). They were never able to pin that one on him, and now I hear that the building that he torched is going to be developed into guess what....Condominiums!

I assume its another TwoTrees/Walentas venture. Have seen nothing as to whether rental or condo.

For anyone else who lives in Park Slope -- check out Total Wine Bar on Fifth Avenue. I've been there a few times and it's wonderful. Good wine, good "snacks" (I love the cheese tarte, which is basically a quiche, and the smoked trout on toast - you can basically eat a light dinner here with your wine) and friendly atmosphere.
