Rambo So Much Cooler Than Dumbo

You have to wake up pretty early to beat those Curbed boys to the punch! We were just reading this week's Time Out NY before turning out the light last night and dog-eared the Public Eye page because of the stylish artist's dropping of the neighborhood name Rambo like it was an established part of the local lexicon. Curbed's art department must have been working the graveyard shift to pull this graphic together--which shows that the Stallone-inspired hood is north and east of the Manhattan Bridge. Have you heard anyone else throwing the name around?

RAMBO was the winner of last summer's made up neighborhood name contest. Curbed created that graphic last summer. I guess RAMBO is no longer a fake name. It has now become real.

Apparently there is an apple called Rambo. And a Swedish family called Rambo, comes from Ramberget (87 m) in Sweden.
