Clean Slate on South 6th and Bedford

The one-story tax payer and former site of the worst flea market in history is looking primed for some development action. Given what's gone before it in the hood (and its proximity to one of our favorite buildings in the area), we're trying not to get our hopes up. GMAP

Oooh, I love that former opera house too. Makes me a little nostalgic for my days in the Burg (moved to Toronto last year).

I always liked the taco-bell taxpayer that was there!

This site has been empty and boarded up for nearly a year now. There's been no activity since they cleared the site. In a related topic, what is going on with all these half-built buildings in South Williamsburg. There's one on Broadway, half block east of Diner, and another one on Grand off Bedford. No or minimal activity for months. And they look like nice buildings.

if you miss them they've moved next to my office in greenpoint at bedford and nassau- i used to live in the opera house building and was stuck next to them there and then they followed me to my work- i somehow seem to be stuck with this flea market.
