DOB Permits? Not in the South South Slope

The folks in the South South Slope fighting the good fight against Henry "Out of Context" Radusky snapped these photos last Friday of foundation work proceeding at 180 15th Street allegedly without permits in place. Can anyone confirm that this is true? If so, why the hell isn't DOB coming down hard on this guy? Anyone know what happened at the City Planning meeting last night?

According to the DOB, the site was inspected
today by Mario Cirillo, who reported there was
"no construction activity"
Somebody check his bank accounts

Call Susan Hinkson (deputy commission of DOB for brooklyn) directly. And the city council member.

Actually there are permits for a new building
at 182 15th Street. That is probably the address
they are using, as it is a large building.
I'm sorry I impugned Mr. Cirillo.

I think that pic was taken at the 8th ave site between prospect and windsor, where they keep hitting water? not 15th?

Unfortunately, the permits are posted, and the construction is proceeding at a very speedy pace.

kowgurl, the photo is 180 15th street. It is extremely unfortunate that the scumbag combo of Issac Katan & Henry Radusky are cranking out their foundation REALLY fast. It looks like they will be done with it by middle of next week. Then they are "grandfathered" and get to build their piece-of-shit 12-story monster with fantastic views of the Prospect Expressway interchange. With any luck, they will get fucked when the housing market fails before they get to sell them.

yeah, anonymous, here's hoping so...

Is it going to be one 12 story monster or actually two 12 story monsters? I keep on getting conflicting information.

This duo will be building two 12 story buildings on 16th st. btwn 4th and 5th. And another 7 story on 16th near 8th ave. Two have stop work orders and one does not have construction permits (180). Building permits are quite different than getting permits to dig and pour foundations.

Mr. Bloomberg I know you are an avid Brownstoner fan. Please, Mr. Mayor, tell me why when you now call 311 to make a complaint about a Dept. of Buildings related topic the operator will not log duplicate complaints? Who is responsible for this new policy? Now when my 10 neighbors and I complain about some outrageous behaviors by a contractor, the official record will show just one complaint. So that means when my neighbors and I see contractors
working on Sundays,
doctoring permits,
working before 6am or working till 7:30pm,
working against stop work orders,
dumping toxic unknown liquids into the city sewer,
allowing uncontrolled dust to blanket our homes,
damage locals property by using fork lifts to move cars,
cutting down our trees while we are at work,
or even crushing 25 year old workers to death with steel I beams in front of their younger brothers
It only counts as one complaint each.
Mr. Mayor, please return the 311 system to allow for multiple complaints about the same issue.
