A Final Reminder of Tomorrow's B'stoner Party

pioneerA final reminder to everyone that the Brownstoner one-year anniversary party will take place tomorrow (Saturday) from 4 to 7 o'clock at the Pioneer Bar at 318 Van Brunt Street in Red Hook. It's supposed to be good weather for enjoying Pioneer's backyard patio--perfect conditions for talking brownstones over a few beers. We look forward to meeting everyone!

brokers welcome? :)

If you're coming as a reader of Brownstoner who happens to be a broker, that's great--if you're coming to hand out your business card to as many people as possible, not so great.

Sounds like fun, but alas, we made plans to drive upstate to see a friend's new old house.

It doesnt look too bad, but they have been building at such a slow pace that it seems that there must be some kind of problem with financing, the developer/gc or in obtaining a CO. It could have been built by hand faster.

That said, i think it replaced a ramshackle "antique" store and/or vacant lot, so it is a step up.

Are kids allowed b-stoner?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 30, 2005 3:10 PM

Kids are encouraged! We're bringing both of ours. It should work particularly well if the weather is good as expected. Even if not, the bar is "kid-friendly"...

Forget the broker, it'd be nice if everybody would bring their favorite contractor!
Mine is sick, so I hope you all have fun.

Brownstoner, I know you just had a baby, how old is your other child?

If I go, would the owner let me do a keg stand?

I haven't done one since college and really miss inhaling beer upsidedown.

Edmonton dominated the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night and the 4-0 margin in Game 6 makes it hard to imagine the Oilers not hoisting hockey's Holy Grail above their heads in less than 48 hours. And it would not come as any shock to see defenseman Chris Pronger, who had another 31-minute night, take the honors for the Conn Smythe Trophy as the playoff MVP.
