Mixed Signals in Schaefer Landing Marketing

flyer1 flyer2
We're a little confused. We got this flyer (sorry for the blurry photos) in the mail this weekend from Fillmore advertising the condos for sale at Schaeffer Landing in the Southern-most regions of Williamsburg for between $700,000 and $1.7 million. But there's no info on the Fillmore site. A quick Google later and we're staring at the Douglas Elliman site that proclaims that Phase 1 is sold out. What's a trust-fund baby to do!

most likely a co-broke situation like 70 washington in dumbo. you can bring in your clients since they have so many units to sell...

But are they all taken already?

well, here's the new complex, where they have 135 units:

For the record, Fillmore is the absolute worst broker out there! Horrible agents, Beyond horrible website, sucks all around

I agree, Fillmore has a well deserved reputation for being entirely incompetent

I have to say it's nice to see such kind words written about Fillmore. But seriously, let's address some of these statements...first of all it is very likely that whatever agent sent you the letter probably has a co-broke situation worked out with Elliman, it happens all the time with Corcoran and other brokers as well...

As far as I could tell no one called Fillmore incompetent but you mr. anonymous.

Many people have had bad experiences with almost every broker out here. I highly doubt that in Fillmore's 40 year history serving Brooklyn that something hasn't gone bad with someone - it's only normal for a company their size serving such a large, demanding borough and broad client base, to have the occassional bad experience.

I would be careful to call Fillmore the worst Broker out there, we have 20 offices, over 500 agents and have been serving Brooklyn for almost 40 years. If we were that bad we would not have the amazing sales history and record breaking sales increases year after year...

Our website receives over 1.8 million visitors a month and 1,000's of inquiries for our properties. It has listings and property information, a new site design is coming as well as added features. Fillmore has the most Brooklyn, Real Estate listings on our site than any of our competitors....as a matter of fact we have over 1,000 homes for sale on our site right now - all here in Brooklyn.... so we may not be "flash" -y or heavy on site design but we have what matters and that is placement/traffic/listings and information...

I am sure many people out there can attest to good and bad agents for almost every broker out there... it is the nature of the business. But our agents are tried and true Brooklynites, living and serving the borough or neighborhood that they work and live in... they did not come here from Manhattan trying to make a buck on the borough, they did not come here to profit from a borough's "revival" (as far as we're concerned brooklyn has ALWAYS been a hot market)they are people, individuals - Brooklynites so please have some sense before making such a general and potentially damaging statement... do not ruin the integrity of Brownstoner with non-sensical claims of "the absolute worst broker out there! Horrible agents, Beyond horrible website, sucks all around".... I would be happy to field questions directly or deal with any customer service issues.

Brownstoner, I think you should charge Pierre for that commercial he just wrote....

Fillmore wasted my time for two months before I realized they were idiots. I even went through three different agents. Stick to renting apartments.

Is there any way someone could tell me what was on that flyer? I need to know the amenities for Schaeffer's Landing.

from that blurring photo, i could make out "gated community, 24 hr concierge and gyms?"

thanks!
