Brooklyn Salvager: Clawfoot Perfection

trough trough
Moon River Chattel just got in a beautiful clawfoot tub (we'd guess either 60" or 66"). At $650 it's certainly not the cheapest one you can find, but the original hardware is gorgeous and the enamel looks to be in pretty good shape as well. Moon River Chattel is at 62 Grand Street in Williamsburg. For dimensions and haggling, call 718-388-1121.

George Taylor in Tribeca has a variety of wonderful fixtures for clawfoot tubs and every other plumbing situation.

My approach in bathroom remodeling was (cheap) salvage for tubs and sinks, and (expensive) really nice fixtures. It's worth the money...you touch them every day, and cheap fixtures are hell on your water pressure.

That's the way to do it, LG!
