I use Cliff's Plaster Restoration Inc., at 189 Bond Street, (718)643-6606, for ornamental plaster restoration and replication, including cornices, moldings, brackets, medallions, any and all wall and ceiling work. Fine work at fair prices, worth waiting for.

Any recommendations for plaster repair/replacement? We have somewhat damaged plaster walls throughout our pre-war 1.5 bedroom co-op. It's clear that there was some reconfiguration--some areas retain moldings and others look more recent. We wanted to restore the pre-war look as much as possible, but have found that contractors shy away from the work-intensive prospect of stripping and rehabilitating. I'm just not sure what to do at this point!
