Timing is Everything
So in addition to bits of news and requests for opinions, the Flea blog will be highlighting many of the intriguing and downright unusual vendors we've brought onboard for your shopping pleasure. Because our goal is to create a classic market environment with that twist of character and quirkiness that Brooklynites and New Yorkers expect and deserve.
Take Watchismo Vintage Horology, the collection of far-out timepieces that Mitch from Clinton Hill will be selling at the Flea. Every good market has a watch vendor, but Watchismo's high-design stuff is like nothing we've seen before, like this 1972 Kienzle "Life 2002" Mechanical Jump Hour (above). (Also check out Mitch's blog, which features cool pics of horological weaponry, among other obscurities.) Soon after the Flea blog's very first commenter requested a watch booth on Monday, lo and behold Mr. Watchismo showed up in our inbox--talk about perfect timing.
So let us know which specialty vendors you'd like to see at the Flea; we'll do our best to make it happen.
