The Prospect/Crown Heights area will soon see a flood of infrastructure improvements, what with the work coming to Washington Avenue and Eastern Parkway. One project that has already started is the capital construction project on Atlantic Avenue, which was presented to CB8 by the DDC in February. So far water mains have been installed on Washington between Atlantic and Fulton, and over the next two months they will go in on Atlantic between Washington and Classon. For that time some parking and driveway access will be restricted on Atlantic at nighttime; click through to see the construction announcement from DDC. Work to come includes sewer replacements, new pavement, curbs and sidewalks, pedestrian ramps, street lighting and traffic signals. Construction should last until Summer 2012.
