Splitty, a bar at 415 Myrtle Avenue, between Clinton and Vanderbilt, is now open. This is the old Rope space, which closed in October of 2012. The drink menu includes an extensive list of cocktails for $10, with a section for “Classics” and another for “Splitty Specialties.” There’s also a selection of wine, draft beer, and bottled beer. The food menu includes three different types of steamed buns: pastrami, shroom, and banana nutella. (Here’s the full menu.) Andrew McDowell, the owner of Pete’s Candy Store, is behind the venture. The bar’s interior was designed with a “vintage camper days” aesthetic — check out a picture from inside after the jump! Although Splitty already started serving, the official grand opening party is tomorrow night.
