The proud owner of an 1899 brownstone in Crown Heights has taken his obsession to a new level. Witness these artworks made from the salvaged house parts–cut nails, a sash pulley, a hinge–that he recently constructed. While you’re at it, check out the beautiful parlor-floor living room as well as some other recent updates.

  1. Thankfully, we did very little in the living room but have the floor sanded. We haven’t even repainted! A blessing considering that we gutted the kitchen and extension, gutted an upstairs bathroom, had a new electric service panel installed, along with new BX for A/C and kitchen and laundry appliances, replaced a ceiling in the front room 3rd floor (no photo posted), did a lot of prep and painting in other rooms…yada, yada, yada. Still plenty of work to do. Just finishing the garden level bathroom this weekend, with subway tile (oh no!) and a mosaic design.
