Bushwick/Williamsburg
Bushwick Daily reports on three neighborhood galleries that closed down recently. They include Famous Accountants, 950 Hart, and Botanic (pictured above, photo via Bushwick Daily.) MyMoon, a Turkish restaurant in North Williamsburg, brought in a new chef and switched its focus to Mediterranean food with Spanish accents. Finally, the boutique Gamine opened on Metropolitan Avenue just west of the BQE underpass. Its concept, according to Racked: “You won’t find this stuff anywhere else in New York.”

Park Slope
The space at 545 Fifth Avenue received signage and is expected to open as a pub-style restaurant this summer. Leaf and Bean is moving right along and should open soon at its new place on Lincoln Place. And Trade Winds Imports shuttered on the corner of 5th and Bergen.

Elsewhere
Alice’s Arbor, on Classon and Fulton Street in Clinton Hill, is now fully open and serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. The new brunch menu includes Potato Crab Hash cake, french toast with a brioche berry compote, steak omelette and eggs benedict. The Times profiles Lavender Lake, a new bar open on Carroll Street in Gowanus. Also in Gowanus, a Checkers coming next to the Dunkin Donuts and Subway combo on 3rd Avenue. Next week a Wednesday-only farm stand opens on the Northeast corner of North Portland and Myrtle Avenues in Fort Greene. And lots of news from Carroll Gardens: a Mediterranean restaurant is slated to open at the old Joe’s Superette in August, Mama Maria’s reopens after a makeover on Gordon Ramsay’s Kitchen Nightmares, and Dharma Healing Arts Studio is leaving Court Street and will be replaced by an architect firm.
