The Department of Buildings approved plans to convert 231 Front Street, the landmarked building in Vinegar Hill, from a factory to an office building. Recently the LPC heard plans to alter the property’s façade, rebuild entrance stairs, and install a canopy. The building is an example of an early 20th century commercial style factory buildings; it was designed by William B. Tubby and built in 1908. Would have made for a cool loft conversion!
