The Brooklyn Bike Rave is back for another ride, allowing cyclists to hop on their bikes and take in a nocturnal Brooklyn along with lights and music.

The bike rave will begin at sundown in Greenpoint, wind along the waterfront to Brooklyn Bridge Park and then loop back around into Dumbo for its conclusion. Participants are encouraged to light up their bikes and music will be broadcast live by DJs at Newtown Radio during the ride. At the finish line, there will be live entertainment, music and refreshments.

The event is put on by Brooklyn Greenway Initiative, a nonprofit organization that advocates for the completion of the Brooklyn Waterfront Greenway, a pedestrian and cycling path that will stretch 14 miles from Greenpoint to Bay Ridge.

“The event serves as a great gateway to cycling for transportation, giving folks the perfect excuse to get on a bike, often for the first time in years. It also provides a unique opportunity to collectively celebrate the City within the shared realm of its public greenways, plazas, and parks,” said Gabriel Rodriguez, communications and events manager at Brooklyn Greenway Initiative.
