The excitement surrounding the opening of the Park Slope location of upstate butcher shop Fleisher’s continues to build (at least in the press!), and The Feast has a Q&A with co-owners Joshua and Jessica Applestone about their plans for the Brooklyn outpost. They say they’ve been keen on a Slope shop for years because of the area’s demographic, people with kids in their 30s and 40s “who care about what they eat,” and that the prices will be the same as at their Kingston shop. One difference from upstate: The Brooklyn version will have stroller parking. Meanwhile, a recent article in the Times said the store, which is on 5th Avenue between Sackett and Union, is supposed to open on September 28th.
