Is Pat Kiernan Going Green?

A tipster sent us this photo of NY 1 anchor Pat Kiernan’s townhouse on Bedford Avenue in Williamsburg with what appear to be solar panels going in on the roof. Kiernan bought the home in April to much fanfare including an article in The New York Times describing his decision to swap his Upper West Side penthouse for his new $2 million home just a few blocks from the L train–at the time the sale was a record for a single family house in the neighborhood. The home had been renovated by the previous owners and the plumbing and electrical systems had been updated as well so its unclear how much work Keirnan has done to the house or whether solar was in the plan.
