Tour Landmark-Worthy Nabes With Historic Districts Council's New 'Six to Celebrate' App
Looking to learn about this year’s Six to Celebrate? There’s an app for that.

The Historic Districts Council named their 2017 Six to Celebrate neighborhoods earlier this year, and now, like so many things in today’s world — there’s an app for that.
The Six to Celebrate app gives readers interested in each of this year’s selections historical information about each of the neighborhoods, along with walking tours. The app also has more detailed information about specific sites on the tours in each neighborhood.
So you can whip out your phone and learn about a place as you’re standing right in front of it.
This year, one of the Six to Celebrate is Prospect Lefferts Gardens. PLG was recognized for its special qualities, including its cultural diversity, unusual history of racial integration, and beautiful historic architecture.
The app is free and available to download for Android or Apple phones.
