Glass Going in at the Greenpoint Medical Center

It’s no big surprise the Greenpoint Medical Center missed its ETA of August 2012. Work’s moved very slowly since construction began last year. But there are signs of glass going in, and someday the building will look like this. The New York City Fire Department is opening this station in a citywide effort to increase EMS stations and reduce response time. (Note: Despite the name, the center is actually located in Williamsburg, on Metropolitan Avenue between Roebling and Havemeyer.)
