Fulton Street's Bicycle Roots Opened Over the Weekend

Over the weekend Bicycle Roots opened its full service bike shop at 1078 Fulton Street, between Classon and Franklin avenues. They’re doing tune ups and selling new bikes, accessories and gear. The hours are 12pm to 8pm Monday through Friday and 10am to 6pm on weekends. The official opening day ended up getting pushed back a bit, but the owners have been doing sales and repairs outside the actual storefront since May. No doubt a nice addition to Bed Stuy but it’s mighty close to the bike shop that opened at 997 Fulton between St. James and Cambridge Place this spring. Is there room for both to thrive?
