Forest City Ratner has received approval from the Department of Buildings to begin certain foundation work that must happen before the Barclays Arena opens in September, notes Atlantic Yards Report; the new building application for the 33-story apartment tower at 461 Dean Street still has not yet been green-lighted by the city. There were in fact three separate permits (one, two and three) issued yesterday, all of which relate to “minimal foundation work.” The tower, known as Building 2, will consist of 349 units, half of which will be market-rate and half of which will be affordable.
