289-clinton-street

This five-story, 4,200 square foot Cobble Hill townhouse was scooped up by Will Frears and Amy Larocca for $3,250,000 according to The Observer. Frears is the son of film director Stephen Frears who directed “High Fidelity” and “The Queen” and Larocca is fashion director at New York magazine. The home at 289 Clinton Street was a House of the Day back in January when it was asking $3,500,000. At the time one commenter said, “Lots of renovation work required. Plaster ceilings and walls falling down. Top story completely unfinished. All bathrooms and kitchens need replacing..new roof…etc…….gut it.” Hard to tell from the, frankly, terrible listing photos how on target that comment was. But none of that seemed to deter the sale which popped up again yesterday in our biggest sales post. In fact, four of the five biggest sales in the borough were in Cobble Hill.
