shake shack opening 1 old fulton street dumbo

Shake Shack’s Dumbo outpost opened this morning at 1 Old Fulton Street. The franchise’s second Brooklyn location serves all the usual burgers and shakes as well as some Dumbo-specific menu items.

There’s a shake named after Jane’s Carousel called the “Caramel Carousel” and the “Brooklyn Pie Oh My,” a vanilla frozen custard shake with slices of pie made by Four & Twenty Blackbirds. They also serve red and white wine from California-based Frog’s Leap Winery.

The interior walls are clad with reclaimed Alaskan yellow cedar from retired rooftop water towers on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, and the tables are made out of factory beams salvaged from the Empire Stores warehouses. Click through the jump to see some interior photos! GMAP

  1. That’s some quick reporting given you took the pic during today’s Belgium v Algeria game (yay Belgium won!). I assume you take pics and post the story remotely from laptop onsite? You kids and your gadgets.

Some nice touches on their interior, but overall Shake Shack just feels too industrially cold. And couldnt they find a decent winery to support on Long Island, closer to home?
