The former metal foundry known as Building 268 at the Brooklyn Navy Yard (map) is currently in the process of being transformed into a world-class R&D facility by Duggal Visual Solutions. (The building will be “part think tank, museum, events hall and eco-product incubator,” according to the Daily News.) The $7 million project will result in a 69,000-square-foot temple to environmentally-friendly business. When we stopped by last week, the building had been gutted and we hear from Navy Yard brass that the goal is for the build-out to be done by the end of the year.
