The Brooklyn Navy Yard, ever the incubator for creative new ideas, is currently hosting New York-based firm Terreform ONE’s modular cricket farm. Composed of 224 cricket-holding cells, the structure serves as protection in case of apocalypse and for the harvesting of the crickets in its cells for sustenance.
