A few tips were sent our way about the impending opening of a Connecticut Muffin on the corner of Bergen Street and Nostrand Avenue. Signage is certainly up and the owner tells us he plans to open shop in August. The build-out is currently three-quarters of the way through. Prospect Heights Patch covered this back in February and said that Barbara’s Flowers, which previously occupied the space, moved around the corner to 1096-1098 Bergen Street. This outpost, which is the seventh for Brooklyn, will be open seven days a week from 6:30am to 9pm. GMAP
So they are a Brooklyn chain. I always assumed they had expanded beyond the suburbs of Connecticut to come here. Maybe it’s more of a concept- like homey baked goods from the country. Like Martha Stewart.
