The North Brooklyn Boat Club is hosting its first annual Rock the Pulaski Benefit Concert to fund the organization’s effort to reconnect Brooklyn to its waterways. The North Brooklyn Boat Club, totally volunteer run, has a boating and environmental research hub along Newtown Creek and has done everything from kayaking the East River to growing pollution-eating mushrooms. They’re also working toward opening a boathouse at the edge of Newtown Creek. The concert is on Thursday, Sept. 20 from 6 pm to midnight. Tickets are $5 and all the proceeds go to the NBBC. You can expect games, drinks, food and music. Check out all the details here.
