It’s been a year since the installation of the art project at the intersection of Jay and Prospect, a piece in which the artist carved into new asphalt and filled the design with pieces of glass. The artwork, “Asphalt Tattoo,” was looking a little rundown until getting paved over recently. It was part of DOT’s pARTners program, which only features temporary installations. We’d imagine it’s safer not to have street art filled with broken glass, but the intersection looks a whole lot more boring now!
