Today the Brooklyn Paper reported that construction of the Prospect Park West Medians will begin next week, starting Monday, April 23rd. DOT will install nine raised concrete islands next to crosswalks at nine different intersections along PPW. The islands will keep cars from double parking, increase visibility and give pedestrians easier access crossing the road….

you guys are crazy paranoid about bloomberg being corrupt. is he stealing it to donate it? yes, his personal $30 million donation to helping turn black and latino men in the projects around is a diversionary tactic to keep your eye of the shell game. he is secretly stealing from all of us! please. HE HAS SAID HE IS GIVING IT ALL AWAY!!! He has donated $1.6 BILLION DOLLARS. the guy gives *anonymously* to the carnegie foundation millions (only found out by the NYT)……he has given $500million with bill gates, $250 mil to his college, last july $50 million to Sierra club, another $250 mil and change to 1400 charities. areyoufvkingkiddingme?????

man, i don’t care what anyone says about bloomberg, but you’ll never have another mayor who is not caught up in the BS and worried about how he and his sticky fingered pals get paid first. The guys is competent capable and actually tries to make the city better. Sure, he has his pet projects, tries to ram stuff through the machine of waste and inefficiency, but it isn’t about pure corruption for once in the city’s history. So for all the crocodiles who haven’t been able to hunt in their swamp, don’t worry your pit will be back soon enough.
Initially i was staunchly against a bike lane used a few months out of the year…..how i want the whole park encircled with this. i really like it.
now the crazy jerk cyclists why yell at grandma, mom and baby crossing the street i could still do without…….
i wonder how the opponents feel about this? i think this pretty much makes the bike lane permanent. 😛
