Looks like the long-awaited Park Slope Calexico is close to opening. The company posted a help wanted ad on Craigslist advertising for “upbeat, positive and energetic” cashiers, delivery and hosts. “Experience is preferred, but not necessary,” it said.
The new location will be at 280 5th Avenue, in the old Blue Ribbon space. The popular California-style Mexican eatery started as a food truck and has since expanded with restaurants, including ones in Greenpoint and Red Hook. It also has an outpost in Barclays Center. GMAP

Agree with the last two comments. They serve good food at fair restaurant prices. (sure – go into a bodega in Sunset Park for cheaper eats). This will be a very solid addition to the neighborhood if they ever, in fact, open.
Thye sounds like they are over-extended and will go down in flames. Food isn’t that good.
Wells at the nyt did a pretty good takedown of the Barclays concessions earlier this year.
