Spring is back and so is the Greenpointers Spring Market.

The Greenpointers Spring Market will celebrate the arrival of spring and the month of Earth Day with a market that focuses on local and sustainable products. There will be cocktails made with sustainably crafted Peloton de la Muerte, fresh beer from Greenpoint Beer and Ale, and Hungarian wine provided by Palinkerie.

In addition, there will be yoga on a roof deck overlooking the Manhattan skyline for patrons looking to find inner peace and catch some rays at the same time. Dozens of vendors will be present at this spring’s market.

The market will also have live music by Danny Chait, face painting, massages, and henna tattoos available. The Spring Market will see the return of the photo booth, with this season’s backdrop design keeping in theme with Earth Day. The design will be a large illuminated Earth made with recycled materials by local artists Colleen Blackard and Miss V.

Neighbors Allied for Good Growth (NAG) will also be present to keep up the theme of environmental consciousness. NAG recently launched Reduce Reuse Recycle Greenpoint, a program that seeks to turn restaurant waste into compost and recycled materials.

The market will be held at Greenpoint Loft at 67 West Street in Greenpoint. The event is free of charge and will run from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 9. For more information or to RSVP (not required), visit the event’s Facebook page.
