Mini Art Installation Pops Up in Dumbo
A tiny exhibit of portraiture has appeared on Front Street.
Is this a guerrilla art installation? We noticed this going up last week on Front Street in Dumbo between Pearl and Adams streets.
No signage has appeared for it — just color photographic portraits in small plexi frames marked with the #backtothestreet. A couple of the images disappeared from the wall, but were quickly replaced.
The project seems to have popped up in Paris a few years ago, and a few street art blogs covered it, such as StreetPress.
Anyone know more?
