There’s been lots of talk today about Mayor de Blasio’s proposal for a streetcar along the Brooklyn-Queens waterfront. Read on to hear why one commenter thinks it’d be great — and two ways it could be made even better.

Comment of the Day

Great for Red hook, opening up access to waterfront, re-development of Industry City area, knitting all kinds of areas together. So here are two crazy ideas:
1. The northern terminus is already up at 21st Ave near Astoria Blvd. Why not have the thing take a right turn and head on up Astoria Blvd to LGA??? Crazy, I know, but one can dream.
2. How about one of these for Utica? You know MTA is never going to build that line.
