Brooklyn Open Houses -- Park Slope, Sunset Park, Bed Stuy

This week’s top listing span neighborhoods from Park Slope to Midwood to Bay Ridge, and many have not-so-common details like stained glass, wedding-cake plaster ornament and a double-height library.

Which would you choose?

10. This cute shingled townhouse — which topped our list last week — has three bedrooms and two baths with a full-floor rec room on the lower level leading out to the backyard. The home is also just two blocks from Owl’s Head Park. The kitchen could use some updates, but overall it’s a sweet find.

9. This two-family Ocean Hill home was gut renovated with an industrial, rustic-style twist. After a switch of agents from Corcoran to Keller Williams, it sold in November for $1.35 million in November, $149,000 under ask.

8. This barrel-fronted brick number on Dewey Place in Bed Stuy is a flip, and not the most enthralling one we’ve seen (nor is this Bed Stuy’s most alluring block). But it’s fully redone, with a three-bedroom duplex above and a two-bedroom garden rental. There’s also a two-bedroom “hospitality basement space for additional living,” which includes a kitchen. Not that you would ever (wink, wink) think of putting a tenant or an Airbnb’er down there.

7. All the great details aren’t only in Ditmas Park — this freestanding, circa-1900 brick house, at 2218 Avenue M in Midwood, is spacious, appears to be in good condition and has a lot of potential. Pull up the carpet, repaint the pink and purple bedrooms, and you could really have a stunner here.

6. This Bed Stuy one-family, at 60 Monroe Street, has a feature not often found in a Brooklyn townhouse — a double-height library, rising from the middle of the basement floor. Set above it, reachable via a floating staircase, is a second-floor kitchen, with exposed steel ceiling beams. It makes for a distinctive home, and a fetching one in our view, though it’s not going to float everyone’s boat.

5. This sweet 650-square-foot alcove studio has potential. Its size is ample, and it has three large windows looking out over a tree-lined Cobble Hill street. The windowless bedroom is a downside, but with some clever renovation, this apartment could be stellar.

4. This prime home on Lincoln Road in Prospect Lefferts Gardens is a landmarked three-story, four-bedroom brownstone loaded with gorgeous restored detail — mantels, pocket doors, inlaid parquet floors, pier mirrors, wedding-cake plaster ornament, wainscoting and carved woodwork.

3. This one-bedroom home, last week’s No. 6, is on the top floor of one of the finest Romanesque Revival mansions in the city — the Chiclet Mansion. Overlooking the back garden, this apartment has oversized windows and an all-pink “vintage mid-century bathroom.”

2. This homey, cottage-like brick number in Red Hook is still on the market, its price increased by $25,000 from when it was first listed. It’s somewhat surprising that the reasonable price, killer rooftop view and location on a cobblestone street haven’t yet led to a sale.

1. Our No. 1 pick this week is a gut-renovated four-story brick house on Douglass Street in Park Slope. It’s narrow at around 16 feet, but has been gut renovated with a lot of deluxe touches. It offers a full-floor master suite, a guest suite with a separate entrance, four full baths and two powder rooms, and a showpiece of a kitchen with an eight-burner Wolf range and one of two Subzero fridges.
