All that is good and holy about Brooklyn may soon be accessible to the rest of America — Ample Hills Creamery is expanding.

The beloved ice cream shop opened to ecstatic praise in Prospect Heights four years ago and expanded to a second location in Gowanus in 2014.

Named for a line in Walt Whitman’s Crossing Brooklyn Ferry (“I too lived — Brooklyn, of ample hills, was mine”), the sweets purveyor has recently raised a pretty penny with the help of seed fund neighbor Brooklyn Bridge Ventures, Eater reported.

Operating out of a townhouse just a block from Ample Hill’s Gowanus location, Brooklyn Bridge Ventures is run by native native Brooklynite Charles O’Donnell, who just helped the ice creamery raise $4 million.

The growing sweets chain will use the money to create new retail locations throughout its home borough and beyond, as well as creating an “interactive” production facility in Brooklyn.
