The application deadline is approaching for affordable units at several Brooklyn locations.

Renovated units at 1719, 1725 and 1752 Sterling Place, as well as 354 Saratoga Avenue, 163 Suydam Street and 25 Madison Street, are accepting applications through Monday, November 9.

The 20 rentals, respectively located in Brownsville, Crown Heights and Bed Stuy, require no broker or application fee (don’t be fooled by scams that charge).

Units range from one to three bedrooms, and eligible families will be one to six people with an annual income of $34,732 to $80,100, with further requirements specifying earnings by household size.

In addition, 5 percent of units will be held for the mobility impaired, 2 percent for the hard of hearing or visually impaired, 5 percent for municipal employees and 50 percent for residents of Brooklyn Community Boards 3, 4 and 16.

For further details about eligibility and applying online or through the mail, see NYC Housing’s instructions at NYC Housing Connect (PDF). All applications should be submitted to NYC Housing Connect, not Brownstoner.

Applications must be submitted or postmarked no later than November 9.
