You are spot on there and we’ll definitely be doing our part to have it go smoother next time.
We agree with you slopefarm BUT we also agree that deleting the post was heavy handed, especially considering the post can’t be edited on the front end. So we simply took out the word “racist” and restored the comment as a compromise. The goal wasn’t to stop conversation or debate.
The goal is for people to comment on what is going on. If we’re commenting on Cumbo saying she is a “racist”, I’m sure it’s easy to see we’d have to allow everyone to do the same about any public figure and that’s not something we want either. Hopefully, you like this solution.

It was deleted because we generally don’t want anyone commenting on other parties in that way on the site. We’re not saying you need to be positive about a person you don’t care for, just that we’re not looking for our community to allow that kind of chatter. Deleting the comment definitely had nothing to do with you being right or wrong about Ms. Cumbo.
Yes MoCADA is getting a lot of money from Cumbo; her latest hand out was$3.5M. Independence problem….I think so, but I don’t think she cares until she gets investigated.
