The “mommy startup” Social Pants is hosting a children’s potluck party in Greenpoint’s Transmitter Park this Sunday, August 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. The dinner party will feature a photographer to take family pictures, plenty of games for the little ones, and kiddie pools filled with ice to help keep food cool.

“Let’s celebrate our neighborhood and have our very own Potluck Party in the Park!” flyers for the event read. “Come meet your neighbors!”

Social Pants is a Greenpoint-based “social calendar for kids” that’s set to launch a website in September. Once up, the free site will offer locals the ability to set up playdates online.

As for location, Transmitter Park opened just three years ago, and offers Greenpoint and Williamsburg residents a local waterfront destination and green space. Previously, the park — as its name suggests — was home to radio transmission towers for WNYC.

Greenpointers published an invitation to the dinner, which is sure to be adorable. For more information and to RSVP, go here.
