The first units are being offered at the Atelier, a new rental building developed by Fortis Property Group at 239 North 9th Street, between Havemeyer and Roebling streets in Williamsburg, starting at $2,610 a month for a studio.

The site’s got an odd history — it was previously owned by murdered developer Menachem Stark, who had a project in the works with architect Karl Fischer before Fortis took over the property in 2012. Fortis drafted the architecture firm S9 to design the Atelier, and broke ground in April of 2013.

The finished building will have 120 units; currently eight listings are online and available for immediate occupancy. Units without terraces run $2,610 a month for a studio, $3,410 for a one-bedroom, and $4615 for a two-bedroom.

Throw in a private terrace and those prices jump to $2,885, $3,785 and $5,725, respectively.

The listings tout the “condo-like” vibe of the building and the apartments, which have high ceilings, oversized windows, washers and dryers and high-end appointments such as Caesarstone countertops and deep soaking tubs.

The building’s got a long roster of amenities, including a 24-hour doorman, a fitness center with a “workout patio” and a yoga room, a game room with billiards, lounge seating and TV, lounges on each floor, a courtyard, a furnished roof deck and a “media room.” There’s an indoor parking garage, and bike storage is available.

How do the units look to you? Is close to six grand for a two-bedroom a reasonable ask?
