495 Pacific Street1

This two-bedroom apartment in a former carriage house at 495 Pacific Street in Boerum Hill has hardwood floors, original moldings and a working fireplace. A spiral staircase leads up to a private roof deck.

According to the listing the apartment is 1,000 square feet — large for a two bedroom. Cats are allowed.

The house is near Pacific Street and 3rd Avenue. It’s not the most quiet location, but close to BAM, Barclays Center, just about every subway line in the city and plenty of restaurants, shops and more.

What do you think of it for $3,750 a month?

  1. I love ROTD. I do read about half of the sponsored posts, always read HOTD, and never ever read COTD. I miss the old ‘Stoner (miss muffett, bayridgegirl, even Rob sometimes!). About this apartment, it’s very nice but it is the private roof deck that makes it almost worth the $3750. For that money, I would hope heat and hot water are included in the rent.

  2. I mean I’m all for ads and understand they are necessary but they shouldn’t pretend to take place of content, the lifeblood of the site, using the template the site was founded with. Wolves in sheep’s clothing.

  3. The worst are the “Sponsored” posts that are masked to look exactly like an article or feature. They go as far as to even have a link for comments but after the jump there is no comment window. SCAM!

  4. Long time lurker here…I’ve been reading this blog for at least 6 years and its been my go-to lunch break read all this time. But now it seems like more ads then content. i really do miss the daily HOTD/COTD/ROTD feature, that was something I looked forward to. Or MMs history lessons. It just seems like there is less and less to read on this blog and it makes me sad- this blog is my favorite!

  5. We are not going to be shutting down commenting. We really do value what readers think about our posts and the site. In fact, we are currently in the process of updating our forums and commenting areas to include many things that we have been asked for. We will only delete comments that we find inappropriate or irrelevant.
