205 Windsor Place1

This one-family house at 205 Windsor Place in Windsor Terrace has some unusual and striking details. Check out the geometric Arts and Crafts stair railing in particular — we’ve never seen anything like it.

There is also stained glass, a center hall stair fireplace, and lots of other details. Baths and kitchens have been updated, although not terribly recently, from what we can see in the photos.

We also see some paneling in the entry and elsewhere a buyer might want to remove. Everything looks to be in good condition in the photos, though, plus the mechanicals are “excellent” and the roof is new, according to the listing.

What do you think of it and the price of $1,775,000?

  1. I have been fortunate enough to have spent time at 205 Windsor place. It is not just a house, but a real home! Details are beautiful, and it is light and airey. The location cannot be beat, and neighbors are fantastic. Such a wonderful place. I love this home. I would buy it myself, but I already have one.

  2. They will absolutely get this price or higher. That is the market rate.
People are scratching and clawing to get into Windsor Terrace and the school districts, so cosmetic updates are nothing. It doesn’t look like there is anything major to do immediately so whoever buys can take their time with renovations if they need to. The house itself looks impeccable.

I wish I could live on that block.

  3. This house is on the best block in Windsor Terrace, – a hotspot in Brooklyn. It will sell at this price for that fact as there is not much inventory. Can’t get a better location in Windsor Terrace.

  4. I disagree that dropped ceilings and paneling should raise a red flag. It was the norm and style years ago. This neighborhood housed generations of families, unlike today where people seem to come and go and come from all over to live in that neighborhood now. Years ago, Windsor Terrace couldn’t hold a candle to Park Slope. How the tables have turned. These houses, I believe, were owned by the same families for many years and great care went into them. This looks like a great house on a coveted block.
