I was so glad to see 3 officers from the 88th precinct posted at the Putnam Triangle today, September 30th 2015.
However, I was very disappointed to see as I got closer that the 2 officers stationed in the patrol car were both playing video games on their iPhones while on duty!! How can they be protecting the neighborhood like this??
Hi No-permits, and those who are affected by these shady activities. I suggest that you could write letters to the Commissioner’s office for chronic issues like these. I did so when dealing with a major issue happening right around me a few years back, which seemed to be hopeless in resolving. But I got a reply, and pressure came down from the top to the local precinct, and I got special help quickly. Calling 311 is useless, seriously, and 911 will consider these issues not serious enough for immediate actions. It took a few difficult months, but eventually it came to an end, and it’s been good for many years.
This is great, I’ll send one too. When I was contacting them, I had to send physical snail mails, as the community board advised me to do so. Not sure if it makes a difference, but maybe safer to do both.
