Great news about the St. John’s College site.
For the people who attended the CB3 meeting, how was the discussion about the relocation of Damon House from Williamsburg to 802 Kent in Bed Stuy?
For some reason, I feel that too many homeless shelters and substance abuse facilities are relocating to the area; hope our Board and politicians start fighting for us and making sure these facilities are equally spread across the city and not concentrated in one area.
I concur! Great news indeed. There is great potential for this site. Hopefuly it will remain architecturally beautiful. Is it Landmarked?
I pass this site on my way to the train and always thought it would make a great development.
That many apartments will drastically change this side of Bed Stuy. I don’t think it’s landmarked and I actually think condos make more sense in this location. But since the building is leased from the church I see why condos are not an option.
