62 Pierrepont Street2A1

This three-bedroom co-op at 62 Pierrepont Street in Brooklyn Heights needs work but looks promising. It’s located in a 1911 Beax-Arts style building and has a good amount of living space, nine and a half foot ceilings, French doors and other details.

It’s 1,050 square feet, according to the listing. The photos show the original parquet floors need refinishing, and the kitchen and one bathroom are not pictured.

The building has an elevator, live-in super, bike parking and a landscaped garden.

Sure, it’s on the second floor. But it’s also only asking $949,000. Monthly maintenance is a not unreasonable at $1,300. What do you think?

  1. Great block, looks like it gets tons of natural light. No pictures of the kitchen usually means terrible kitchen. Too bad you probably couldn’t get away with ditching the 3rd bedroom for a bigger, eat-in space. That wall between the dining room and living room is begging to be torn down as well.

  2. This is a great buy. I don’t think it needs a gut renovation, the bones of the place look good! Painting, refinishing the floors, new kitchen and bathes will have this place looking amazing in no time.

  3. It’s actually an excellent buy, I think. It does need a gut renovation and the 3rd bedroom is really more of a small office at 8×8. But still a very good buy in this area. Will probably go for above ask (no, I’m not a broker…).
